Studio Lens: Physical Model of Global E-Commerce Centre

At Daniel Statham Studio, we thrive to illustrate the best spatial experiment and design details through physical models. For the recently revealed Global E-Commerce Centre project, a 1:300 scaled model was crafted using wood, acrylic, and 3D-printed miniature figures to create an immersive architectural scenario, highlighting the multi-layered, volumetric, flexible, and porous characteristics of the building.

“The shifting and ‘feathering’ of mass and space create balconies, terraces, exhibition areas, art, and plaza spaces,” suggested Daniel Statham.

“It is not one predefined space that will become redundant as time and technology progress. It is the ‘canvas,’ like art and design that can brush a paint stroke and define the next vogue of thinking.”
