Construction Update: Phase I of FOHO Galactic Super Campus is near completion
Designed by Daniel Statham Studio, the open compound modern industrial park, FOHO Galactic Super Campus, has been put into construction since June 2021. Phase I of the project is now nearing completion. Located in Wujiang District, Suzhou, with an approximate area of 900,000 sqm, the project aims to create and define a “21-Century super factory” through integrating different industrial formats and production process with unique space prototypes.
Phase I serves as the manufacturing and central research institution of the factory, along with an exhibition centre, elevator training workshop, and supporting apartments and businesses. Due to the internal display function and the close proximity to the main entrance of the building complex, this area has also become the external image display interface of the whole project.
In the Studio’s design, the radial outer wall with rich concrete texture and large entrance steps with a vivid curved landscape are used to create a public space with a sense of ceremony and participation.
